Scholarships
SDMHA is proud to offer scholarship and bursary opportunities for its graduating players moving on to secondary education. The scholarships and bursaries are designed to recognize a wide range of skills including hockey, academia, character, and community service. Any SDMHA registered U18 level player graduating in the current year is eligible to apply.
Submission DEADLINE: On or before April 15th, 2025.

Personal letter detailing the following:
Academic achievements
Community/school participation
Details of hockey participation
Future course of study
A letter of recommendation from a designated Association executive member, on-ice official, or team official (coach/manager)
A letter of recommendation from your school Principal or Counsellor
A copy of your most recent school report card(s) (Gr. 12 only)
A copy of your transcript of high school grades (Gr. 8-11)
PLEASE NOTE:
In order to qualify for and claim one of the SDMHA scholarships you must be enrolled in a Post Secondary institution granting diplomas and bachelors degrees. -
Graduate high school in the application year
Who is or will be attending a post secondary institution in the application year.

Must be a current member in good standing with SDMHA
Years of service as an referee, player or coach for SDMHA
Volunteer activities for SDMHA teams or the organization
Degree of competence as a player, coach or referee
Acceptance to a post-secondary institution
Continuing education aspirations
Copies of your last 2 years of high school grades
The successful candidate will be selected by the Scholarship Review Committee of the SDMHA Executive and must provide confirmation of acceptance to a post-secondary institution.
**Scholarships provided must be utilized within 2 years of graduation from SDMHA

SDMHA Scholarships - $500.00
Criteria— Sportsmanship, citizenship and academic achievement.
Emily Clutterham, Kinley DeBoer, Ben Holmes, Corbin Hunter, Jake Jones, Brady MacDonald, Zachary Milne
Tim Jardine Memorial - $1,000.00
Criteria—Sportsmanship, citizenship and academic achievement. High standard for sportsmanship and leadership on their team. This player understands the important role that grade 12 players play on a U18 team and they step up to the challenge of being a good leader by example of dedication to their team, hard work and excellent sportsmanship.

Board of Directors - $1,000.00
Criteria—Excels in all areas, including sportsmanship, citizenship, academic achievement AND hockey ability.
