Rep Tryouts information
A final schedule will be sent out to all players in late August by your respective division manager.
U11
The U11 Pathway Plan (Skates & Evaluations) follow the recommended Hockey Canada Long-term player development model.
Preparation skates NOTE- these have no bearing on tryout evaluations
U11 Prep Skates - August 31 - September 2. Communication to inform players which time slot to attend will come via email by August 28. The purpose of these skates are to support players by providing an opportunity to get back on the ice before formal evaluations. Attendance is optional.
Evaluations
· First Stage - September 7 – 10. Communication on which session to attend will come from the division manager close to the date.
· Second Stage - September 11 - 22. Players will be assigned to a team camp (ex. A1-A3) for this stage. The selection process continues with team practices and exhibition games led by the team coaching staff. There may be player movement between groups during this time.
U13/U15/U18
Evaluations
· First Stage - September 1 – 6
· Second Stage - September 7 – 22
*These divisions will follow the same Evaluations format described in the U11 section aside from the stage start/end dates.
**The U15 division checking clinic on August 31 is recommended, however attendance is optional.
Parent Meeting
The meeting on September 4th 7:30pm at SDRC is mandatory for ALL DIVISIONS. Note- this is for parents only this year, players do not attend.
