SDMHA is proud to offer scholarship and bursary opportunities for its players. The scholarships and bursaries are designed to recognize a wide range of skills including hockey, academic, character, and community service. Application information is located below . Eligibility:
SDMHA Registered Midget player graduating this year
Utilization of Scholarship: Up to two (2)years after graduation
Qualifications: Academic Achievements, Community/School Participation, Sportsmanship, Citizenship
Required Documentation:
Completed Scholarship Application Form
A personal letter detailing the following:
Academic achievements
Community/school participation
Hockey participation
Future course of study
A letter of recommendation from designated Association executive member, official, or team official
A letter of recommendation from your school Principal or Counsellor
A copy of your most recent school report card(s) (Gr. 12 only)
A copy of your transcript of high school grades (Gr. 8-11)
Scholarships Awarded Last Season
SDMHA Board of Directors Scholarship for $1000.
Presented in recognition of sportsmanship, citizenship, academic achievement and hockey ability.
Must be used for scholastic purposes.

Tim Jardine Memorial Scholarship for $1,000.
Presented in recognition of sportsmanship, citizenship and academic achievement.

Jeremy Leung Memorial Scholarship for $500.
Presented in recognition of sportsmanship, citizenship and academic achievement.
Must be used for scholastic purposes.
2011 Winner: SPENCER SCHOEN
In Da House Scholarship for $500 Presented to a grade 12 house player who demonstrates a high standard of sportsmanship and leadership on his team.
Must be used for scholastic purposes.
2011 Winner: KEITH PREFONTAINE
Paul Hansen Memorial Scholarship for $ 500.
Awarded to the player deemed most sportsmanlike both on and off the ice. Shows dedication to his team and shows good hockey skill development.
Must be used for scholastic purposes.

Delta Ice Hawks Scholarship - Delta Secondary School (DSS) for $500.
Presented for sportsmanship citizenship and academic achievement.
Emphasis on Post-Secondary Education in Technology & Trades
